Current responsibilities

I am the manager of the Ishikawa Komatsu sales office. When I arrive at work, I try to go around the work sites and have brief conversations with the employees as a greeting. I believe that by creating an environment where everyone who works hard can easily consult or offer opinions on even trivial matters, I can hear real-time feedback from the field, allowing for continuous improvement and optimal execution of operations.

Reason for joining the company

Before working at Muroo, I was a truck driver for a partner company of Muroo's Osaka branch, delivering to the Hokuriku region. I saw the work environment at the Osaka branch and thought, "It would be great to work for a company like this." Then I heard that a new sales office was opening in Hokuriku, so I decided to make the big move and change jobs.

The image I had before joining the company, andDid you experience any "gaps" after joining the company? How has working here changed you?

Before joining the company, I had an image of the Muroo Osaka branch as "a place where many people and products gather, full of energy." However, the Ishikawa Komatsu Sales Office, where I joined, was a new startup, so there were few people and vehicles, and it was a start from scratch. The situation was far from the image I had of the Osaka branch. Even now, it's a small business location, but I always feel like I'm challenging myself with everyone at the office as we build work and create delivery routes from scratch. I feel a sense of fulfillment every day.

What is particularly important at workWhat have you started to feel?

There are many important elements, but I value three: "gratitude," "a learning mindset," and "doing what is right." To protect employees, we must comply with numerous laws and regulations, and continuously create a safer working environment, which requires acquiring a great deal of knowledge. When communicating with customers and employees, I believe that always approaching them with gratitude and consistently doing what is right leads to trust.

"Supporting Japan's food infrastructure from behind the scenes." is the feeling or pride that one experiencesWhat moment is it?

Most of the products we handle are displayed in supermarkets and mass retailers, so the moments we feel proud of are when we see the products we delivered on store shelves and customers picking them up. We think, "I'm glad I'm doing this job." When we can't operate due to snow or other reasons, seeing the shelves empty of products is also a moment that deeply affects us. It strongly makes us realize the great responsibility of our work, how much it is related to people's lives in the world.

Current position and future goalsI want to know about the future you envision.

I aim to establish a Hokuriku branch. Since our company has a large network of offices nationwide, I want to create a significant base in the Hokuriku region and allow many customers to fully utilize Muroo's logistics services. Currently, I hold the position of Branch Manager at the Ishikawa Komatsu Sales Office, where I am responsible for various management and oversight duties. I believe that by leveraging the experience and knowledge gained from my past roles and my current responsibilities, I can contribute to building an organization where Muroo employees can work in a better environment with higher motivation in the future.
