Current responsibilities

I am in charge of delivery operations, primarily focusing on food products. Of course, I make sure to deliver products at the scheduled time, and I also make it a point to greet customers politely at their delivery destination. I take pride in my work, knowing that I am delivering products that will be on people's dining tables daily and supporting their "ordinary everyday lives."

Reason for joining the company

My father and older sister worked as drivers, and I always thought, "Someday I will too!" However, at the time, I only had an automatic transmission license for regular cars, so I couldn't quite take the first step. Then, as if my wishes reached the heavens, I happened to be invited by a Muruo driver who said, "Muruo has a license acquisition support program." That was the beginning.

The image I had before joining the company, andDid you experience any "gaps" after joining the company? How has working here changed you?

Before joining the company, I had the impression that truck driving was "manual labor." However, after actually starting the job, I was surprised by how much of the loading and unloading is done using forklifts and power gates, which significantly reduces the physical strain. I was also surprised by how little overtime there is, and the company is accommodating with my requested days off, allowing me to have a fulfilling personal life.

What is particularly important at workWhat have you started to feel?

"Safety." At first, I was drawn to the idea of driving a truck, finding it cool, but actually driving one was a completely different experience from a passenger car, and I struggled to get used to it. However, my senior colleagues patiently instructed me until I understood the tricks of driving a truck, including the "fear" of driving. Now, I have gained confidence in my driving and even placed third in the company-sponsored "Drivers Contest." I will continue to drive safely, never forgetting the words my senior colleague first taught me: "Safety takes precedence over everything else."

仕事において特に重要だと感じるようになったことは何ですか

"Supporting Japan's food infrastructure from behind the scenes."is the feeling or pride that one experiencesWhat moment is it?

Even if the weather is bad, even if the roads are crowded, we still deliver. Because we know that "if logistics stop, there will be people in trouble," we feel a strong sense of responsibility and pride when we're out delivering goods. Also, when we're unloading and people say, "Thank you for always delivering," we truly feel that the products are reaching people. When I see the food I've delivered at the supermarket, or when my family or I casually eat it, I realize I'm part of a system that "supports Japan's food supply."

Current position and future goalsI want to know about the future you envision.

I'm currently in my fourth year with the company, and I've been successfully handling my assigned delivery routes without any errors. Our customers are very fond of me, and I enjoy my work every day. In the future, I aim to follow the example of the senior employee who trained me when I first joined. I want to mentor those who are new to driving trucks, sharing both the initial trepidation and the enjoyment of truck driving. Simultaneously, I plan to further enhance my skills by learning new delivery routes.
